Have Your Name at the Seat of the Lord

From the time immemorial, not only Hindus, but all over the world, in all traditions, creating a space for divine has been a part of our lives. In any tradition, the first thing people do is to create a space for the divine. In every tradition, creating a space for divine or creating a place in which they can relate with the divine has become a part of their culture, part of their life.

The temple is the focus for all aspects of everyday life in the Vedic community - religious, cultural, educational and social. All aspects of the Vedic temple focus on the goal of enlightenment and liberation - the principles of design and construction, the forms of its architecture and decoration, and the rituals performed.

And all the Indian temples are installed by an enlightened Master. Our Masters have designed temples as a beautiful battery which can hold the cosmic energy and radiate it for thousands of years.

When the ‘prana pratishta’ or energy is installed in the idol by an Enlightened Master, it is no longer an idol,  it becomes a deity or ‘archavatara’ with different incarnations of God. This cosmic energy radiates itself, making  it available to us through these idols, statues or moorthies.

The garbha mandirs (temples) are intense energy centers that are created by Enlightened Masters and are maintained by regular poojas and mantras. Continuous repetition of mantras charges the whole energy field. When you go and stand in front of this energy field and offer your thoughts, your prayers are answered.

Most ancient temples were the result of royal patronage. Though they were built for the benefit of the whole community, they were also an expression of the devotion of the patrons.  It is interesting to note that it was not the sculptor or painter who was honored for the amazing work in these temples as he would be in the west, but the donor. In fact, almost all Hindu art is anonymous.

Paramahamsa Nithyananda, an Enlightened Master of our times is performing the Prana Pratishta and Kumbabhishekam of a Vedic temple in Los Angeles. A wonderful opportunity is at your fingertips to immortalize your name for eternity.

Sponsor a moorthi or the construction of a garbhagriha.  Blessings are showered on you with every Abhishekam or Pooja to your moorthi! Have your name engraved at the seat of the lord!
